MPI for Aerospace
There is a wide range of MPI application in Aerospace industry required by various OEM and MRO. The final selection of MPI bench type is typically determined by the kind of numbers and dimension of the tested product (screws, breaks disc, torque tubes, engine components, landing gears, structural parts etc.), required standards (ASTM E1444, NADCAP, customer P&W, GE, RR, Collins …) and budget. UNIMAG AEROTESTER NG
The AEROTESTER has been developed to satisfy the highest requirements from Aerospace industry on accuracy, duty cycle, small footprint, Quick Break feature to be able to test wide range of ferromagnetic products from wheel shops, through engine shops up to landing gear shops, or from any OEM´s:
Key features of UNIMAG AEROTESTERS NG:
- AC, HWDC and 3 x FDWC currents, including its demagnetization
- Minimal current 100 A, Max. current 6, or 10 kA (can be customized)
- Robust stainless steel welded frame
- Electrical cabinet located under the frame, minimal footprint
- Watch dog for current deviation +/- 10 % included in standard price
- Constant Current Control, Accuracy of pulse period measurement better than 0.1 sec!
- Duty cycle of machine is 5% on maximal current
- Pneumatic clamping and special soft feature protects parts against arcing
- Clamping range 1400, 3000, or 4200 mm (can be adapted if needed)
UNIMAG AEROTESTER meets all the requirements acc. ASTM E 1444, ASTM E 709, ASME CODE V.7., AS 7114, EN ISO 9934, GOST 21 105-87, NADCAP and many others. UNIMAG AEROTESTER is also used like a base for any special CUSTOMIZED system e.g. for landing gears, bigger engine components etc.
UNIMAG Aero special series
Sometimes, there are special requests from ATG customers e.g. on design, current outputs, special features, duty cycle etc. After customer specific request analysis ATG company can propose a tailored made solution. Some examples you can see below:

UNIMAG 1500 BASIC
UNIMAG BASIC is an economical and very good solution for smaller wheel shops and is capable to test parts from few millimeters up to 1500 mm, typically ferromagnetic bolts, screws, brake discs, torque tubes, shafts, rings etc.

- AC, HWDC magnetization
- Min. current from 100 A
- Robust welded frame
- Electrical cabinet located beside, or under the frame (minimizes footprint)
- Watch dog for current deviation +/- 10 % included in standard price
- Constant Current Control, Accuracy of pulse period measurement better than 0.1 sec!
- Duty cycle of machine is 5 %
- Manual, or pneumatic clamping
- Clamping length from 50 to 1500 mm (others on special request)
MINIMAG
The MINIMAG is small (also portable bench) very useful for smaller workshops, or laboratories. This MPI bench can be delivered like a table top version with some of AC/HWDC MAGMAN power packs (than you can also transfer it by your car), or like a standard stationary MPI bench with electrical cabinet.

- Current acc. your selection from 1500 to 4000 A
